Grand Avenue Car Wash

The car wash is ok. This is the 2nd time I've came, paid for the vacuums, and they don't work. The hoses are broken, and you get poor suction if any at all. Please CHECK your equipment daily and maintain...

Even though the lady on the phone was nice and submitted a refund request I can’t give more than one star. I came to use a vacuum and it took the $1.75. Other vacuums were out of service or falling apart with screws coming out. Also super dirty. Overall, don’t come for vacuums. People seemed to be doing fine with the washes though.

Having used this car wash many, many times over the past 11 years that I've lived in Bloomington, I actually disputed my last credit card transaction via Visa with them as I couldn't turn off wash bay number 5 after usage and no one answered the service bell when I rang it. I must have spent 10 or more minutes trying to turn off the washer, restarting, waiting, etc. I would say use this facility with quarters only - and to bring your own quarters.

This self serve car wash has declined in quality over the last few years. It’s a shame because it’s the only self wash nearby. Several doors were not operational today, so people had to back cars in via the exit. The foam brush was not working on my unit, which of course you won’t know until you’ve already put money in. It’s not the value that it used to be. If you use a credit card to pay, you end up paying twice as much. If you use 16 quarters for a 4 minute session, bring a roll of quarters, because the change machine there skims $ and won’t give you your full return.

I do not recommend. There's no one there to monitor the car wash, so if the car in front of you is using a bucket, there are no employees there to tell that person they're abusing the system and ask them to move forward to make room for other customers. I was once behind a car and they were there for over half an hour and they did not care that people behind them were waiting for them to move. Once, I also had my card way overcharged, and of course no one was there to help. It took forever to get someone on the phone, and I still haven't seen the refund they said they were going to send out. They do not care about the customer experience!!
